You first need to decide what Orlando area you want to stay in. Do
you want an onsite Disney World hotel or an offsite Disney World
place to stay? Disney owns 19 resorts and an additional 7 resorts
can be found in the Downtown Disney area. At Disney World you
will find a hotel what will fit your budget. They have value resorts,
moderate resorts and deluxe resorts. Each resort has a fun theme
that will make your stay that much more enjoyable.

Off site you will find many more places to stay and most will offer
free transportation to Disney World. Most of the hotel chains have
locations in the Orlando area. You will find best western, days inn,
double tree, embassy suites, hampton inn, hilton, howard johnson,
holiday inn, hyatt, la quinta, marriott, radisson, ramada, travelodge
and wyndham just to name a few.

How do you find hotel discounts for your trip to Disney World?

Most hotel chains will honor travel discounts such as aaa rates, aarp
rates, government employee discounts, airline employee discounts
military discounts and entertainment book coupons. You can also
check out web sites such as Priceline.com, Hotwire.com and
SkyAuction which allows you to bid on hotel rooms, airfare and car
rentals. Be careful and do your homework before you place your bid.

Are there any cheap or free things to do at Disney World?

Yes. Visit the Disney Boardwalk: You can enjoy the street
performers, watch the friendship boats, listen to live bands at the
Atlantic Dance Hall or for a small fee you can play carnival games
and enjoy a food treat. Visit Downtown Disney: See the interactive
fountains, the Lego imagination center or learn a magic trick for free
at the Magic Masters shop. In the evenings, the Downtown Disney
Pleasure Island is not gated. Guests can go to the Pleasure Island
area for free and enjoy the shops, restaurants, entertainment and
fireworks display for free. Visit the lobby and pool areas of the
deluxe resorts. These are great photo opportunities.
